Data shows that companies with an ethnically diverse board of directors are 43% more likely to experience higher profits and have gained a competitive advantage to leading global brands. 2021, CMO leaders will look to nurture diverse teams that represent their values and will foster the creative energy that comes from multiple points of view. The focus will be on building belonging, not filling a quota. Having diverse teams and being inclusive to expand ideas and authentically connect to the colorful world we live in is one of the simplest marketing concepts on the planet. True diversity isn’t about checking the box. It’s about recruiting a workforce that includes individuals with different worldviews, ethnicities, religions, backgrounds, abilities and ages.
