I am devoted to and excel in three areas—each area strengthening the others: Data Management, Analytics and Data Science.

Because I’m passionate about data, I have a strong track record of establishing deep partnerships with the business units and aligning data strategy to business priorities and financial goals.

I am a visionary senior executive with 25 years’ experience in leading and managing a global data and analytics organization. At any given point, I have had team size of up to 50 resources with a focus on innovation, mentor-ship, collaboration and motivation to create next generation of data and analytics talent. I have strong industry domain experience in Financial Services (Insurance, Banking, Capital Markets) and experienced in Retail, Technology and Healthcare.

I am very skilled in AI/Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Augmented Analytics, Augmented Data Management, Data Fabric, Blockchain in Data and Analytics, Cognitive Systems, NLP, Data Lakes, Data Governance, Digital / Data Strategy Roadmap & Blueprint, Data security, Data privacy and ethics, Data protection and Regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, etc.). I also have demonstrated success guiding organizations to transform their businesses by leveraging mature, modern and open source technologies.

Alizabeth Calder is a semi-retired CIO, who now spends her time on corporate board work.  She is a best-selling author, a globally recognized technology researcher for IDC, a contributing writer to IT World Canada.  As a sought after keynote speaker, she focuses on enabling strategic value in transformation through alignment from the board and CEO to the IT and digital leadership functions.

Alizabeth has been a consultant to boards and executives in the public and private sector since 2006.  She has acted as the CIO at firms including HomeEquity Bank, IBM, Loyalty Group (a Division of Alliance Data) and CML Healthcare.  Her more than 35-year technology career includes delivering more than $ 1 billion in transformational programs in banking, financial services, transportation, logistics, healthcare, analytics and professional services.   

Allen Hsiao

Allen Hsiao MD, FAAP, is Professor of Pediatrics and of Emergency Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine and serves as the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) for the Yale School of Medicine and Yale New Haven Health System. He received his BA in Biomedical Ethics and MD from Brown University, then completed residency training in Pediatrics at Yale before completing fellowships and board certifications in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Medical Informatics. He has served on numerous medical informatics-related committees for the Hospital and University, as well as nationally for groups such as the American Academy of Pediatrics, Health Information Management Systems Society, and the National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions.

Dr. Hsiao has published many articles in the pediatric and healthcare informatics literature and regularly presents nationally and internationally on leveraging informatics and the electronic health record (EHR) to support research, optimize systems, and improve transitions of care. He has also served as primary investigator or co-investigator on several NIH and AHRQ-funded grants examining the ways health information technology can impact and improve healthcare. Allen also co-directs the Informatics Core for Yale’s Clinical Translational Science Award (CTSA) from the National Institutes of Health. In this capacity, he works closely with the Yale Center for Clinical Investigations leadership to equip investigators with the tools and information needed for translational and clinical research. This includes leveraging the industry-leading functionalities of the EHR (Epic) system and the clinical trials management system (OnCore) for investigators and patient focused research.

As the CMIO, Dr. Hsiao leads the medical informatics and data and analytics teams for the School and System, including an experienced group of physician informaticians and the Joint Data and Analytics Team (JDAT). He and the informaticians are responsible for medical leadership of the electronic health record system (EHR) and supporting information technology systems to provide the functionality, clinical decision support, and innovation needed to deliver the best healthcare possible. His Joint Data and Analytics Team includes the database administrators, data architects, and a team of over 50 analysts that provide the reporting and analytics for the System and the School, supporting operational, clinical, and research reporting and data needs and is led by a talented Chief Data & Analytics Officer. Current priorities for Allen and team include supporting COVID-19 informatics needs, predictive analytics, strategies to address growing physician burnout, patient engagement, population health, and supporting genomic medicine.

Kent Graziano (AKA The Data Warrior), is the Chief Technical Evangelist for Snowflake and an award winning author, speaker, and thought leader. He is an Oracle ACE Director (Alumni), Knight of the OakTable Network, a certified Data Vault Master and Data Vault 2.0 Practitioner (CDVP2), and expert solution architect with over 35 years of experience, including more than 25 years designing advanced data and analytics architectures (in multiple industries). He is an internationally recognized expert in cloud and agile data design. Mr. Graziano has developed and led many successful software and data analytics implementation teams, including multiple agile DW/BI teams. He has written numerous articles, authored three Kindle books, co-authored four other books (including the 1st Edition of The Data Model Resource Book), and has given hundreds of presentations, nationally and internationally. Being able to gather and analyze data to generate a competitive edge, creates new opportunities and promotes innovation.
