Invest Heavily in Digital Transformation

The CFO’s role is being disrupted by digital, data risk, regulation and stakeholder scrutiny. CFOs who do not proactively define their role in response to these major forces could compromise their ability to shape strategy and drive the innovation necessary for sustainable growth. All of these shifts will have lingering effects on the role of the CFO. A role which has been steadily focusing less on financial stewardship, and more on guiding the company strategy in developing disruptive business models, and pitching investments in emerging technologies.
