Sam Kline is an Analytics Strategist for AWS Australia and New Zealand, bringing 20+ years corporate experience across banking and energy sectors leading large data and analytics teams. Sam brings his experience to AWS customers to help them understand and articulate a modern Data Strategy, and consider the mindset, people & process and technology implications in implementing a data-driven culture, including thinking BIG and starting small to prove value and gain momentum. Prior to joining AWS, Sam was the Chief Data & Analytics Officer at EnergyAustralia, helping transform their data & analytics capabilities and move to cloud. Sam also spent 18 years at ANZ leading their global Data & Analytics teams across the Australian Retail and Commercial group, and also helped to shape the Group Risk Data & Analytics Transformation strategy. Sam has a Bachelor of Computer Science (Monash), Information Systems Honors (Monash) and an MBA (Melbourne Business School).
