Field CTO for Cortex - one of the three divisions of Palo Alto Networks and the division responsible for machine learning, automation, endpoint defense, and now incident response. Bruce bridges Cortex to the security community, defense, law enforcement, development, partner and customer executives worldwide. Bruce also leads internal research projects for compelling data points in the information security world and frequently finds himself presenting to the public on current critical security topics in simple terms that encourage even lay people to become security-conscious.

A life-long hacker and highly experienced security executive, Alyssa Miller has a passion for security which she advocates to fellow business leaders and industry audiences both as a high-level cyber security professional and through her presence in the security community. She blends a unique mix of technical expertise and executive experience to bridge the gap that can often form between security practitioners and business leaders. Her goal is to change the way we look at the security of our interconnected way of life and focus attention on defending privacy and cultivating trust.

Alyssa has always had a driving curiosity to understand how technology works and how existing technologies can be hacked to function in new ways. At the young age of 12, Alyssa got her start by taking a job as a paper carrier to save up enough money to buy her first computer. From the time she brought that computer home from Best Buy, she has taught herself new skills and pushed the capabilities of digital technologies.

A native of Milwaukee, Alyssa began her IT career as a programmer for a Wisconsin based provider of financial software and services. Her passion for security quickly shaped her career as she moved into a leadership role within the ethical hacking team, conducting penetration testing and application assessments along with her team.

Later, Alyssa would expand her view of the security industry by moving into consulting. With her programming background, Alyssa was able to focus her efforts on Application Security. Her continued role as a leader in multiple consulting organizations allowed her to work with high level business leaders to address security at a strategic level.

Today, Alyssa directs the security strategy for S&P Global Ratings as Business Information Security Officer (BISO), connecting corporate security objectives to business initiatives. Additionally, she shares her message about evolving the way people think about and approach security, privacy and trust through speaking engagements at various conferences and other events. When not engaged in security research and advocacy, she is also an accomplished soccer referee, guitarist and photographer.

Jeffrey M. Vinson, Sr. is the Senior Vice President and Chief Cyber and Information Security Officer (CISO) at Harris Health System.  He is a globally recognized security executive , a retired military officer and a former technical director at NSA (National Security Agency).  He has been involved with information security for over 25 years and has the rare distinction of having expert experience in the military, federal government, financial services and healthcare industries.  He has held positions such as Vice President, Technical Director, and other senior level security management roles.  Jeffrey has led penetration testing exercises while working at NSA (National Security Agency) as a technical director and has created security operations teams and GRC teams for financial services and healthcare organizations. He provides expert security advice and guidance to small and large companies and is a highly sought-after speaker at security conferences throughout the country. Jeff is a member of C|CISO exam writing and events committee for EC-Council and was one of their first C|CISO summit speakers for their inaugural global CISO Executive Summit. He is listed as one of the top influencers in Information Security for Healthcare and most recently was listed as one of the top 100 global CISO’s. Jeffrey earned his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology from Elizabeth City State University and holds numerous internationally recognized security certifications.

VJ Viswanathan is a veteran global technology executive recognized and awarded for technology innovation, capability transformation and inclusive leadership. Most recently, VJ is the founding partner at CYFORIX, a global cybersecurity research, advisory & strategy firm delivering solutions to public and private sectors. He serves as the CEO at TORQE, a specialized due diligence, advisory and technology services firm delivering value through analytics and automation. VJ is also the co-host of ELEVATEINTEL, a podcast series at the nexus of technology, social and defense.

With over 25 years of Enterprise technology, Cyber Security, Privacy, Compliance and Risk Management experience, VJ has a detailed track record of designing, implementing and leading highly successful programs, products & services at multinational brands spanning CPG, Telecom, Media, Supply-chain & Finance segments.
As a strategic thought leader, VJ has delivered the first of its kind "Supply Chain Security" & “Omni-channel Risk management” frameworks. As a published author and featured keynote speaker at global industry events, he approaches disruptive digital paradigms with innovation, creativity and active collaboration with his key industry peers, national & international law enforcement and defense groups.

VJ is an active advisor, investor at select incubators & accelerators groups. As a strategic advisor to VC & PE firms, he specializes in developing market analysis, competitive product road map and guides in opportunity mapping. As a Board member and subject matter advisor to CEOs and Corporate directors, VJ evaluates and audits cyber security program for veracity and operational effectiveness.

VJ is passionate about animal rights and giving back to the technology & security industry. He has created a rescue & foster care group for large breed dogs. He is actively engaged with academic institutions and purpose driven professional groups like ‘Minorities in Cyber security’, where he serves as the Board member and chair of mentorship programs to develop the next generation talent through coaching and facilitating scholarships for cyber security education.

Recognized as one of the 2022 Top 20 Women in Canada, Octavia Howell has spent her career protecting some of the world’s largest financial institutions from cyber attacks. Today, she serves as Equifax Canada’s Chief Information Security Officer and is the Founder and CEO of Augustus Redefined, an organization focused on the advise ent of Black Women in Cyber. Octavia believes a security leader should mentor, motivate trust, and lead their teams to act with integrity and transparency. She often says, “A team is only as strong as their leaders and each leader casts a shadow that they will be held accountable for.” Octavia is motivated by the belief that we are placed on this earth to help each other achieve greatness (whatever that may be).

As the Chief Information Officer (CIO) Human Services, Department for Children and Families (DCF) and Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS), Jason provides vision and leadership for the development and implementation of information technology initiatives within the agencies including the four State Hospitals. Jason is responsible for the planning and execution of information technology goals and initiatives that support the long-term objectives, mission and vision of DCF and KDADS.

Cheri Glass, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, is vice president of Employee Experience for Baptist Health a full-spectrum health system, which employs more than 23,000 people in Kentucky and surrounding states. Previously, Glass served as vice president of Human Resources for Baptist Health Medical Group, which encompasses the system’s employed providers; Baptist Health Home Care; and Baptist Health Community Care, the system’s value based care arm. Glass has more than 25 years of HR leadership and experience in Louisville, most recently as vice president of Talent Acquisition, Human Resources & Benefits for Signature Healthcare. She also has served as assistant vice president of Employee Benefits for BB&T Insurance Services; as the market practice leader, chief human resources and administrative officer for Fetter Printing Company; and as director of human resources for AAA of Kentucky. Glass holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration/personnel administration and industrial relations from the University of Louisville. She and her husband have been married for 36 years have two children and are currently planning for the marriage of their daughter. Living in Kentucky Cheri and her husband Doug also breed and race thoroughbred horses.

As Director Business Applications IT (Fortune 10 drug wholesale company with annual revenues of $18) he has established the business technology strategy and provided architectural oversight and solution delivery for approximately $200+ million multi-phase transformation projects with a resulting IRR of approximately 50+% across Supply Chain Management, Finance and Accounting, Customer Management, Human Resources, Marketing, and Business Intelligence and Data Analytics Business Capabilities.

Paul Calatayud serves as America’s Chief Security Officer for Palo Alto Networks. Prior to his role with Palo Alto Networks, Paul was Chief Technology Officer for FireMon, leading business development, corporate development, and product strategy. Paul is a two-time CISO and lead security strategy for a fortune 5 healthcare company providing cyber technology strategy for over 300K employees. Paul has held progressive roles in information security at the Department of Defense, Medtronic, Comcast, BAE Systems, Best Buy, and Vesta. Paul is also an advisor to half a dozen cyber companies, VC, and private equity firms. Paul holds multiple certifications including: CISSP, CISA, CISM, and GCIH.
